What do I think?

One standout feature of the Philips Cx50 is the easily accessible volume button for continuous wave and pulsed wave Doppler. Adjusting the volume to an appropriate level is a breeze, which greatly enhances the user experience. This thoughtful design element is great for cardiac scans allowing you to turn down the volume so you don’t disturb the patient.

While the depth and focal zone being on the same button might take a little getting used to, it does make more sense than some other machines that combine depth and frequency controls. The consolidation of these functions streamlines the scanning process and minimizes the risk of accidental adjustments.

The presets on the Philips Cx50 can be a tad challenging to navigate, but once you familiarize yourself with them, they become more manageable. The rest of the buttons are well-placed and easy to locate, ensuring that you can access the necessary functions without much hassle.

In terms of image quality, the Philips Cx50 performs well, delivering good results across various applications. While it may not reach the level of excellence seen in some high-end ultrasound machines, it certainly meets the needs of most users. The clarity and detail captured by this device is certainly sufficient for everyday diagnostic purposes.
